my love for graffiti remains unabated

and my love for random KNITTED graffiti has grown by leaps and bounds…

that is just… AWE-inspiring. 

i’d so do that to one of the trees in our complex, but i’d be afraid my neighbours would totally sneak out at night and unravel me ;o

reverse graffiti - paul curtis

ok, seriously, this is *too cool*.  i’m ever a fan of really well done, creative graffiti and this certainly fits the bill…

If there is a lesson in the work of the British artist Paul Curtis (aka “Moose”), it would be that the world is a mess. Curtis’s signature technique is cleaning. He strips away years of accumulated soot, dust, dirt, and atmospheric detritus to make pieces like these, which were part of a celebration of street art. He also creates promotions for not-for-profits like Greenpeace and commissions for brands such as Xbox and Clorox’s GreenWorks.

banksy awesomeness strikes again!

Graffiti artist Banksy has pulled off an audacious stunt amid tight secrecy to stage his biggest ever exhibition.

A burned-out ice-cream van is among 100 works Banksy has installed at Bristol’s museum, replacing many of the museum’s regular artefacts.

The reason the museum was closed was kept secret from top council officials.

Banksy said: “This is the first show I’ve ever done where taxpayers’ money is being used to hang my pictures up rather than scrape them off.”

Staged in the council-owned City Museum and Art Gallery, Banksy v Bristol Museum features animatronics, installations and a sensory display.
