projection @ anti gay marriage rally in philadelphia

anti-gay marriage rallies lead to christian fundies fantasizing about marrying pets and robots and, therefore, are immoral.

David Gibbs III, a lawyer who in 2005 fought to keep brain-damaged Terri Schiavo on life support, told rally participants gay marriage would “open the door to unusual marriage in North Carolina.

“Why not polygamy, or three or four spouses?” Gibbs asked. “Maybe people will want to marry their pets or robots.”

this certainly isn’t the first time.  there’s a long history of christian fundies comparing homosexuality to “man on dog” sex and other similar acts: see rick santorum, jerry falwell, mike huckabee, and others.

save a christian fundie: protest anti-gay marriage rallies!  save their souls before they slippery slope themselves all the way into hell :(

police working with the federal communications commission shut down a “pirate radio station” being run in orange county florida.  the radio station covered topics like buying drugs, where to find prostitutes, and joining gangs.

The radio station’s “Street Heat” broadcast could be heard anywhere in Orange County. Police said Senat had been cursing and using derogatory language on the air for about three months.

nevermind the drug, prostitute, and gang ads… THEY WERE FUCKING CURSING!!!!1111oneoneoneeleven bastards angry

“There are no sentences in this stuff that they’re putting out that didn’t have vulgar language, didn’t have some demeaning language towards women, towards people,” said Sgt. Mike Gibson.

i’m waiting with bated breath for sgt mike to arrest most of the right wing talk radio show hosts, if demeaning language is the issue… though i suspect that demeaning language “towards women, towards people” only counts if you cuss when doing it.  cool smirk

for more on pirate radio, see this documentary:

The same old sh*t from them… Must be awful to have that kind of hatred inside.  I do wish that they would drop off of the planet wink

lol, i agree.  tho i think the left should begin a new campaign against them, using religious leaders who are interested in saving the souls of their conservative counterparts.  because really, it just can’t be healthy for the soul to be fantasizing that often about sex with animals and robots.  tongue rolleye

Quotes I like

"so you've wrung your eyes of all their tears and caught them in a glass, to save them for some day next year, when you're waxing over your past, and should you ever begin to believe that the good part was worth all the waste, find your glass of last year's tears and you take a taste..." - slobberbone, slippage
