You stand at the edge of a dense forest.  Behind you, the trees seem like
a wall, cutting you off from all but what lies ahead.  Before you, there is
an inviting sandy beach, and beyond that, a beautiful, crystal clear lake. 
From here, you may either return into the forest and to the main road, or
continue on toward the lake.

{yYou stand on the sandy beach of the Crystalline Lake.  Clear, blue
water shines before you, and the eternally shifting sand rests beneath your
feet.  Close by, you can see a boat dock and a tired-looking ferryboat tied
to the dock's moorings.  Out on the lake, you can see a small island upon
which rests perhaps the most majestic and etherial temple you've ever seen. 
Perhaps you can find the ferryboat's captain and bribe your way across the
lake...

{yYou stand on an old, creaking dock.  Moored to it's rotting pillars is
a sad-looking ferryboat.  Cap'n Bob, the ferry's owner, is busily attending
to his vessel.  You can see the temple on the island out in the middle of
the Crystalline Lake; perhaps if you ask nice enough and give him enough
money, he'll take you across.

{yYou've finally made it to the island in the middle of the Crystalline
Lake, although you don't know exactly how you've made it.  Cap'n Bob's boat
was far from seaworthy, and the docks on this side of the lake are no better

temple.

the Sisters of the Laka'Rhi take great pride in their horticulture. 
Fountains and benches are nestled here and there, some just next to the
path, some almost out of sight, seemingly lost in the garden's glorious
tangles.  Just ahead is the massive door to the temple, and behind you lies
the beach.

{BLaka'Rhi Palatina's Audience Chamber{x~
{RYou stand in the opulent audience chamber of Palatina, the current
Laka'Rhi.  This is the place where Palatina meets pilgrims and ambassadors
to speak with them, either about religious or political matters.  There is a
highly-decorated door to the north, but it seems to be locked.

{YPalatina's Sitting Room{x~
{BYou find yourself in Palatina's private sitting room.  This is by far
the most opulent room in the temple.  Velvet cushioned chairs fill the room,
and thick, plush carpet covers the floor.  The windows are heavily draped
with rich damask, and the walls are painted a bright blue.  There seems to
be another room up ahead, and the door to the Audience chamber is behind
you.

{YYou stand in the private bedroom of Laka'Rhi Palatina.  The room is
magnificent to behold, and you think about the poor pilgrims, sleeping in
such dirty rooms and wonder why some of this wealth can't be spent on them. 
Behind you is the Laka'Rhi's sitting room, and there seems to be some kind
of trap door in the ceiling above your head.  Perhaps that's what the ladder
is for that's propped up agains the far wall...

{DThis dismal place seems to be a secret prison cell of some kind.  When
you first glimpsed this magnificent temple, you would never have dreamed
such a horrible place existed somewhere inside.  This is the place where
Palatina, fearful of losing her position as Laka'Rhi, has placed Crane
Reborn, Octaviana.
